Job Description

To provide independent, objective assurance aimed at adding value, managing risks, and improving the operations of the Corporation.

Job Specification

Operational Responsibilities/Tasks

1.      Carry out routine operational, financial, and technical audits as per work plan;

2.      Draft audit reports on assignment for review with supervisor;

3.      Verify payment documents as per approved procedures;

4.      Check maintenance of accurate accounting records;

5.      Conduct special audit and investigation assignments as assigned;

6.      Undertake follow up audits to determine whether agreed recommendations on the past reviews are being undertaken by the process owner;

7.      Implement and adhere to the Customer Service Charter to meet customer requirements;

8.      Review developed and submitted regular departmental reports and make recommendations;

9.      Review prepared board papers and present them to the relevant board committee;

10.  Articulate issues related to the Division and represent the Division in various meetings and / or forums.

Financial Responsibilities

1.      Participate in preparation of departments budget and expenditure

2.      Participate in development of departmental annual procumbent and assets disposal plan.

Job Competences

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, pure Sciences, Applied Sciences, and Social Sciences or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Duration of Internship Twelve

(12) months non-renewable Stipend

The interns will be paid a stipend at a rate as determined by the Public Service Commission.
