Job Description

To oversee national mineral market surveys and implementation of pricing strategy for the Corporation’s mineral products. Provide leadership in the development, implementation and review of policies and strategies on investment and business development related to the refinement grading, cutting, procurement, sales and marketing of minerals for the Corporation. 
Appointment to this position will be on a Five (5) year contract renewable subject to retirement age and performance

Job Specification

Key Responsibilities

a.    Overseeing all aspects of investment in a portfolio;
b.    Analyzing past and current financial data and performance;
c.    Preparing reports and projections based on analysis;
d.    Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation;
e.    Exploring investment opportunities;
f.    Establishing and evaluating profit plans;
g.    Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement;
h.    Analyzing and evaluating performance and productivity reports for presentation;
i.    Providing financial models and forecasting;
j.    Any other duty or responsibility as may be assigned by the CEO.


Requirement for Appointment

A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Manager, Investment Analysis if that person meets the following minimum requirements:


a.    Master’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
b.    Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
c.    Professional qualification; CIFA or CFA or an equivalent qualification and membership in relevant body in good standing;
d.    At least ten (10) years’ work experience five (5) years of which must have been in management role;
e.    Management/Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks;
f.    Proficiency in computer application; and
g.    Fulfilled the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution.

Terms of Service

Five (5) Years Contract renewable subject to retirement age and performance. 
Compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution
The successful candidate shall be required to meet the following compliance requirements:
•    A Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
•    A Clearance/Compliance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
•    A Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
•    A Clearance Certificate from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
•    A Clearance Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
