Job Specification | Key Responsibilities
a. Lead in providing proper interpretation and implementation of financial policies, regulations and procedures, Government circulars, letters and instructions; develop supplementary financial policies, regulations and procedures to enhance internal controls; b. Managing financial resources, coach and mentor staff in the division; c. Coordinating preparation and submission of financial statements as required by the law; d. Monitoring and evaluating financial systems and make recommendations for improvement; e. Ensuring compliance with laid down financial systems; f. Overseeing preparation of the corporation’s annual budget and presentation to the Board for approval; g. Coordinating reconciliation and maintenance of general ledger accounts; h. Ensuring interpretation and implementation of all financial policies, rules and regulations; i. Ensuring that accurate, timely, reliable financial information and timely submissions of annual financial statements of accounts; j. Ensuring effective management of corporate tax, VAT, and other statutory deductions; and k. Any other duty or responsibility as may be assigned by the CEO.
Requirement for Appointment
A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Manager Finance and Accounting if that person meets the following minimum requirements: a. Master’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accounts, Economics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; b. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Finance, Business Administration, Economics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; c. Certified Public Accountant (CPA K) or its equivalent; d. Member of institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK) and in good standing; e. At least ten (10) years’ work experience, five (5) years of which must have been in management role; f. Management/Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from recognized institution; g. Proficiency in computer applications; and h. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Terms of Service
Five (5) Years Contract renewable subject retirement age and performance.
Compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution
The successful candidate shall be required to meet the following compliance requirements: • A Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) • A Clearance/Compliance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) • A Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) • A Clearance Certificate from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) • A Clearance Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
